I would recommend Mr Ruskin Bond’s collection of short stories and essays. The first I ever read was “A Garland of Memories”. They give you a good chuckle, some give a tug at your heart and almost all make you smile like a child. Aptly titled ‘A Gathering of Friends’, this book has the best short stories and anecdotes of his life.
